Regarding the opinion posted by Catherine, my opinion is that the fundamental axiom that drives this entertainment sector to prosperity is the familiar concept of “contract” – if you have money, you can use it to get what you want. If I am not mistaken, the men who often visit the host clubs are high-positioned salarymen or wealthy professionals – men of high social strata. (or at least on the economic level) So, even if they are paying for transient pleasures like groping the women’s breasts or (by some clandestine prearrangements) having an intercourse, if the men who pay for the services have enough money to be not swayed by the considerable amount of money they are paying for them, why do you call the men the “real fools”? The men get the service they wanted to receive and they have the ability to pay for them, and the women get the financial opportunity to escape from their “second class” citizen stature. I believe it’s a good deal for both parties. Catherine, would you explain why you described them as fools?
